With a variety of characters there should be an outfit for everyone and people can always dress up as an “extra” if not one of the main characters from the show. Here are some tips that should provide inspiration for a True Blood fancy dress costume:

• Sookie Stackhouse – Sookie is known for her Merlotte’s waitress outfit. Wear a t-shirt, khaki skirt or shorts, waitress’ apron and side ponytail. Use makeup to create vampire bites on the side of your neck.
• Bill Compton – A military-style jacket over a plain t-shirt is the ideal base. Add makeup to make the face paler, eyeliner to rim the eyes and some vampire fangs.
• Lafayette Reynolds – Confidence is essential to pull this off! Wear dark lip liner and eyeshadow. A muscle shirt, skinny jeans or black kilt, boots, earrings and plenty of chains finish the outfit.
• Maryann Forrester – Maryann’s look has a boho touch. Wear a maxi dress, gladiator sandals, delicate beaded jewelry and black eyeliner.
• Eric Northman – A plain black shirt, biker-style leather jacket and boots is the foundation of Eric’s costume. Add a pale face makeup, eyeliner, dog tag necklace, and vampire fangs.

People have different names for it – some call it Hollow’s End, while others dwindle on the Halloween terminology. The fact is that the event is getting closer as we speak. Within a few weeks, folks from all over the world will be blissfully enjoying the Halloween festivals.

However, we all know that the best way to enjoy Halloween is primarily linked to catchy costumes. Several self proclaimed artists prefer creating their costumes at home, while some of us like to buy them off retailers for a small fee (which isn’t that small though).

With the Twilight culture hot on our tails, a lot of werewolves are expected to roam around pretty soon. All you need it a furry tail and a pair of fangs. Of course, extra credit goes to those, who spend all day long in the makeup room, trying to look like the perfect blood sucker.

Yep, that’s right, it’s Lady Gaga and by now, the whole world, including the FDA knows her better than anything. The last time, we checked in on her, it was a high time for meaty costumes.
